  • We had just arrived to Madrid, it was dinner time and we were famished! This restaurant was at a walking distance from where we were staying, and it did not disappoint. It actually set the bar high for the rest of our stay in the city. The place was buzzing with people who are clearly enjoying their dinner and time. The service was excellent from the moment they welcomed us and accommodated us without prior reservations, and to the food.. oh and let me tell you about the food: I had a grilled tuna belly with sweet potato in addition to one piece of oyster, while my husband had beef loin with chimichuri sauce and a side of fries, and ended with a cheese cake that we shared. Simply excellent! Casa Mortero is already on top of my favorite restaurants list, and we will definitely come back whenever we have the chance.

  • Made a reservation easily online. Arrived and of course it’s very not busy, August is their slow season and we got lucky with a window table. The staff there are so nice. Very attentive especially the ones checking you in/near the bar. I loved the seat. Not much people walking but it was nice to feel like you’re not running elbows with your neighbors. Ordered the MUST order. Crispy Pork Belly. Do it!!! The oxtail was also very good! Had the pork skewer ( skip it) Should’ve done one of the fishes. The flan was also very good. I’d come back.

  • Visited this restaurant in Spain and absolutely loved it! The vibes were great and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The food was truly outstanding — the rice with duck was divine, rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. The rabo de toro was absolutely delicious, tender, and full of depth. Overall, an amazing dining experience. Highly recommend!

  • About me: American / Caribbean A delight from start to finish. - The host went the extra mile to squeeze us in a bit earlier than our reservation (thank you ) - Our waiter was attentive, fun, effective (really knew the menu and set us up with great recs ) - Co-sign all the recommendations already mentioned in reviews: torrezno, oxtails, french toast - The lentil soup is the unsung hero - Go with the scallop over the oyster Will certainly be back!

  • I visited an excellent restaurant in Madrid last August, and I have very fond memories of the experience. The service was impeccable: attentive, courteous, and always professional. The cuisine offers traditional Spanish dishes reinterpreted in a modern way, without unnecessary frills, but with great attention to the quality of the ingredients. The wine selection is also remarkable. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, perfect for a pleasant and relaxed dinner. It’s the kind of restaurant you can visit often because it combines good food, excellent wine, and a welcoming environment. The experience was very satisfying: the dishes were well-executed, with high-quality products. Some dishes impressed me more than others, but that comes down to personal taste. Overall, it was a memorable dinner that will remain one of the best memories of my summer holidays.

  • Best meal we had in Madrid. Service was outstanding and the food was brilliant. Ordered the potato salad with red tuna, duck rice and the highlight was the Turbot for us. Generous portions for the quality - was super reasonable for how good it was

  • This place was amazing and so well priced. I really liked the spacing between the tables, I felt like they gave you ample room when many places cram you in as close as possible. Everything was reasonably priced and so delicious. The tomato was easily the best I've ever had. Definitely would return!
